Claude MCP Setup

Claude can connect to Kwilt through the Kwilt Remote MCP server when custom connectors are available in your Claude environment. This path uses MCP and Kwilt consent, not a separate Kwilt-branded plugin.

What you add

Add the Kwilt Remote MCP server in Claude's connector settings if your account supports custom connectors. Claude should open the Kwilt sign-in flow and request the read/write scopes you approve.

You do not paste any tokens. Claude handles the OAuth handshake with Kwilt for you.

  • Server URL: https://auth.kwilt.app/functions/v1/mcp
  • Permissions: read and write access to your Kwilt context
  • Sign-in: Apple or Google on go.kwilt.app

Connect and enable

Open Claude's connector settings, add Kwilt as a remote MCP server, and complete the Kwilt sign-in page on go.kwilt.app. Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you use in the Kwilt app, then approve the connection.

Claude stores the resulting access token. The next message in Claude can use Kwilt tools.

How to know it worked

Ask Claude something that needs your Kwilt context, like "what is my current Chapter telling me?" Claude should call a Kwilt tool and reference your real Chapter, not a generic answer.

If Claude does not seem to see Kwilt, recheck the connector is enabled in Claude settings.

If something goes wrong

If the Claude setup screen asks for a bearer token, that is not the supported public path. Cancel and use OAuth-based remote MCP instead.

If your Claude environment does not support custom remote MCP connectors, wait for that support before connecting Kwilt.
